ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The environmental samples for polio collected from different cities of the country have been tested and the results are negative, a clear sign of progress in the fight against this crippling virus in Pakistan.
The head of the National Emergency Operation Center, Dr Rana Safdar said a total of 40 samples were collected from various cities under the supervision of the World Health Organization (WHO).
He said the negative samples show that the virus can soon be eliminated through continued immunization campaigns.
