KARACHI – Fear spread among residents of Gulistan-i-Jauhar area in Karachi after another woman fell victim of the knife attack on Saturday.
As per the details, an unknown assailant targeted a woman near Weather Forecast office when she was getting of a rickshaw, raising number of victim to eight.
Following the attack, the woman, who received minor injury, was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors said that she was attacked with a sharp weapon.
The victim said that a biker came near to her and fled away after hitting her with the knife.
Earlier, six women were attacked with knife during past few days in the same area of the metropolis.
The victims were attacked from behind while they were walking on the road, however, no victim was robbed in the incident.
The victims were taken to a private hospital and were discharged soon after treatment.
According to the brother of a victim, he was walking with his mother and sister when assailants attacked his sister with a knife following which she was taken to the hospital.
According to the doctor, the victim women aged between 22 and 28 years suffered wounds on the lower parts of their body.
Reportedly, the two attackers were riding a motorcycle while wearing a helmet.
According to SSP East, Samiullah Soomro no case has been registered as yet for the knife attack that targeted multiple women in the area.
