Pakistan slashes petrol price by Rs4.59 per litre

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government slashed the prices of petroleum products on Friday.

According to a notification issued, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs4.59 per litre, bringing down its price from Rs117.83 per litre to Rs113.24 per litre.

The price of High-Speed Diesel has been reduced by Rs 5.33 per litre while the kerosene oil price has also been reduced from Rs103.84 per litre to Rs99.57 per litre, with decrease of Rs4.27 per litre.

Similarly, the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs5.63 per litre as its new price would be Rs91.89 per litre.

The revised prices would come into force from September 1st in what appears to be a relief for the masses.
