Rain likely to lash most of Pakistan

LAHORE – Met office Thursday forecast rain thunderstorm with dust storm / gusty winds at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dust raising/gusty winds likely in Sukkur, Hyderabad, Karachi, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal divisions.

According to the synoptic situations, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A westerly wave is likely to approach western parts of Balochistan tonight and likely to persist till Saturday (morning).

During the last 24 hours, the weather remained dry in most parts of the country. However, light rain/drizzle occurred at one or two places in Malakand division, Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan.

Following rainfalls were recorded in Rainfall millimetres during Last 24 hrs: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Lower Dir, Mirkhani 02, Punjab: Islamabad 01.

The lowest minimum temperatures were recorded as follow: Astore 01°C, Islamabad 10°C, Peshawar 13° C, Lahore 17°C.
