The industry needs more films not Eid releases: Shaan Shahid

LAHORE- A number of star-studded movies will hit the cinemas this Eid-ul-Azha and we are just as excited as you are!

But Shaan Shahid had something else in mind.

The Waar actor believes all superhit movies being released on the same day is detrimental to the film industry.

Taking to Twitter, Faisal Qureshi gave a shout-out to the upcoming films, Superstar, Parey Hut Love and Heer Mann Ja talking about how excited he is for Eid.

Replying to Qureshi’s tweet, Shaan wrote, “Not good for the industry to release all the films on the same day. The industry needs more films not Eid releases.”

He added, “These are the best films coming out this year and all spent in one day.”

When a fan pointed out that Eid holidays allow more people to watch the films, Shaan made a point about a film’s quality speaking for itself, saying, “Good films create viewership and all these films are good as gold. They should separately release them.”

In fact, Shaan even revealed that he stopped his own movie from being released on Eid, saying he wants what’s best for the entertainment industry and not just him.

“[Zarrar] was coming out on Eid but not anymore as I feel it is crucial for us to plan for the industry, not just for us.”
