KARACHI – Social media influencer, Waqar Zaka managed to submit dubious copyright claim against the video of human rights activist Jibran Nisar, after the latter exposed him regarding a Karachi rape case on Friday.
Zaka, who got in touch with the family of Samreen Sheikh and tried to narrate events regarding the rape case concerning her daughter, was exposed by Jibran Nasir a day earlier through a video blog.

However, in what appears to be a suspicious move, Zaka submitted copyright claims to YouTube and managed to remove Jibran Nisar’s latest video wherein he had detailed the contents of the case.
As Jibran was trashing the allegations of Waqar Zaka piece by piece, he had used specific chunks of videos uploaded by him, however, the video-sharing website took down the video of rights activist after copyright infringement claim.
The rights activist had also credited Waqar Zaka wherever his videos were used, however, YouTube removed Jibran Nisar’s video about the rape case which had jolted the social meida users in May this year.
Jibran Nisar’s video was crucial regarding the contents of the case and how the whole episode was misinterpreted; he had also addressed the allegations hurled against him by social media users as well as Waqar Zaka.
