87 percent Pakistanis favour re-establishment of military courts: Survey

ISLAMABAD – 87 percent of Pakistanis favour re-establishment of military courts to improve the law and order situation in the country and eliminate terrorism, according to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan.

When asked about the extent do they personally favour establishment/ re-establishment of military courts, 49% strongly favoured re-establishment of military courts to improve the law and order situation in the country and eliminate terrorism, 38% favoured to some extent, 8% opposed to some extent, while 5% strongly opposed.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1833 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during March 06 – March 13, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
