Pakistan cricket team reaches Zimbabwe

LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistan cricket team reached Harare on Thursday to play two Twenty20 and three one day international matches.

ODI Captain Azhar Ali and Sarfaraz Ahmed were not accompanied with the national cricket squad as they have been in Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. They will join the team in Harare after Haj.

Shahid Afridi will lead the team in Twenty20 matches. Intikhab Alam will be manager of the team to replace Naveed Akram Cheema.

The green shirts will play their first match in Zimbabwe with a Twenty20 against the hosts on September 27, at Harare. The second Twenty20 match will be played on September 29th.

The ODI series against Zimbabwe will begin from October 1st.
