One Paris attacker identified as Ismael Omar Mostefai, family under custody

PARIS (Web Desk) – One of the seven people who carried out deadly attack in Paris on Friday night has been identified as Ismael Omar Mostefai through his finger prints, reported Sky News on Sunday.

French officials have placed father and a brother of the attacker under custody while further investigation is underway.

According to French media, Mostefai was French citizen who lived in Chartres, southwest of the capital. He was said to be of 29 and an Algerian descent.

He was found to have a criminal record in France during 2004 to 2010, but never spent time in jail despite being pronounced guilty for eight times, authorities confirmed.

The Friday’s Paris attacks claimed lives of 129 people while more than 300 were badly wounded, when six different sites were targeted in the city. At least 80 people still remain in serious condition at hospitals.
