BEIJING (Web Desk) – Super strong Wang Xiaobei, 81, stunned talent show viewers when she clamped her jaw round a rope attached to the front of her car and began successfully pulling.
And it was no mean feat because the one-tonne car was carrying her friend, grandson and his wife.
Appearing on the Chinese equivalent of Britain’s Got Talent, called ‘Amazing Chinese’, the pensioner told the host she had been practising for the stunt.
Ms Wang, from Shandong in north China, said: “I have a healthy body and healthy mind and I don’t think there’s any difference between how I feel now and how I felt when I was younger.”
As the grandmother pulled the car over the finishing line in just 38 seconds, the audience erupted into applause.
Dumbfounded viewer Hsiu Xiao, 22, said: “It was amazing to watch.
“I thought her teeth would fly out, but they didn’t and she even seemed to be doing a little dance as the crowd clapped.
“She was clearly enjoying herself.”
Her proud friend Xiu Pan said she was “absolutely stunned but delighted.”
The 79-year-old added: “I’ve known her all my life but I never realised she could something like this.”
Ms Wang celebrated getting through to the next round of the competition by going for a good meal, before she thought what stunt to perform next.
She added: “Perhaps I’ll hang by my teeth from the bottom of a helicopter, I’ve never been in one of those.”
