LAHORE (Staff Report) – Pakistani pacer Muhammad Amir has been granted visa to play cricket in New Zealand, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Thursday.
Amir was convicted for match fixing charges in and has been included in Pakistan’s ODI and T20 team for first time in last five years.
According to the statement, New Zealand immigration officials withheld Muhammad Amir’s visa on character basis however he was granted an entry visa to play cricket in the country on request of PCB and Kiwi cricket board.
Pakistani team is scheduled to play three ODI and three T20 matches in New Zealand tour in January.
