Batting first, Pakistan set a 160-run target for the USA in the 11th match of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Chasing the target, USA levelled the match in 20 overs at the loss of three wickets.
As the match went to Super Over, batting first, USA scored 18 runs in the over bowled by Mohammad Amir. Chasing the target, Pakistan could score only 13 runs and lost the match by 5 runs.
In the first innings, Captain Babar Azam led with a top score of 44, and Shadab Khan contributed a crucial 40 runs, stabilizing the innings after a shaky start with three early wickets for 26 runs.
Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for 9, Usman Khan for 2, and Fakhar Zaman for 11.
Babar and Shadab’s 72-run partnership helped Pakistan reach a total of 159 runs.
