Pakistani citizens planning a trip to Azerbaijan can now apply for a visit visa through an updated fee structure announced by the Azerbaijani government. The country, known for its captivating blend of rich cultural heritage, stunning natural landscapes, and historic sites, continues to attract a significant number of tourists from around the world, including Pakistan.
Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, is renowned for its dynamic blend of modern architecture and historic landmarks. Visitors to Baku can explore the UNESCO-listed Old City (Icherisheher), marvel at the iconic Flame Towers, and enjoy leisurely strolls along the Caspian Sea Boulevard.
The Azerbaijani government has streamlined the visa application process by introducing an online service for issuing e-visas to travelers from various countries, including Pakistan. This system simplifies the process and offers two categories of visas: Standard and Urgent.
For a single-entry 30-day e-visit visa under the Standard category, the fee is set at $20. As of September 6, 2024, with the exchange rate at 1 USD = Rs278.65, the fee amounts to approximately Rs5,573. The processing time for this visa category ranges from 3 to 5 days.
For those requiring expedited processing, the Urgent category visa is available at a fee of $50, which translates to about Rs13,932. The Urgent visa is processed within a significantly shorter timeframe of 3 to 5 hours.
Pakistani citizens can easily apply for their e-visit visa through the “ASAN Visa” system, which involves a straightforward three-step application process.
Azerbaijan’s welcoming visa policies and its allure as a travel destination continue to make it an attractive option for Pakistani tourists seeking to experience its vibrant culture and breathtaking landscapes.
