X-Files

Suspense, high-risk fiction and mythical characters: these are three key features that sum up the longest running TV show of United States history, X-Files. The show,no doubt, left a legacy behind it, as we can see famous series such as Strange World, Special Unit, The Burning Zone, Mysterious Ways, Dark Skies, Lost, The Visitor, Warehouse, Supernatural and Gravity Falls are actually inspired by X-Files.

But have you ever imagined if X-Files’ mysterious characters existed in reality? Probably, your answer is no, but things of such obscure nature do exist. We have top five of them here for you:

The insatiable Tarrare:

Tarrare was a French showman and soldier, who died in 1798. Historical records confirm that he had an incredibly large mouth with stained teeth and he could not stop eating, in any case.

His eating behavior pushed his parents to throw him out, but he could not stop eating even then. He ate everything such as live animals, silverware and even stones. Do medic was able to cure his eating habit.

Eventually, French military hospital admitted him. But they as well kicked him out after they suspected that Tarrare was eating dead bodies in the morgue.

The Oakville Blobs:

These mysterious blobs, reportedly, had fallen from sky in Oakville area of Washington, United States in early 1990s. Many people were also killed in the area after they were hit by the mysterious structures. When examined at laboratories, it was found that these blobs carried human white blood cells.

Edward Leedskalnin:

Mr Edward was an American migrant of early 1900s. He was merely 5 feet tall, but he was able to single-handedly built a monument known as Coral Castle in Florida, United States. He mined and sculpted some 1,000,000kg of coral reefs for this purpose.

About the secret behind this extraordinary effort, he said he was expert of moving heavy objects just like Egyptians. Some people also claim that he was an expert of magnetism.

The Death of Gloria Ramirez:

Ramirez was resident of Riverside area in California, United States, and a cancer patient. She was being treated at a California hospital when doctors examined her. They left with open eyes, when they they came to know that her breath smelled like fruity garlic, her blood samples smelled like ammonia and also had floating particles in it.

Large number of hospital staffers fell ill during her presence at the hospital. She is often called as the toxic lady. Not only X-Files, but other TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy also featured a character like this.

The Hessdalen Lights:

In early 1980s, the resident of Norway’s Hessdalen valley complained about strange lights that they observed on different locations in the valley.

Project Hessdalen was launched by authorities to investigate into the reality of these light, but the project was closed after some years concluding that no such phenomena was witnessed while instruments were present in the area.

Available data confirms that lights can still be observed in the valley. However, their frequency has decreased to a great extent.
