KARACHI – In the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators by a massive 118 runs.
In the 29th match played at the National Stadium Karachi, Quetta Gladiators were bowled out for 137 runs while chasing a huge target of 256.
For Gladiators, Bhanuka Jacobs top-scored with 34 runs, while Shamil Hussain made 21 and Dinesh Chandimal scored 19. Captain Saud Shakeel managed 12 runs, while the rest of the batting lineup failed to make a significant impact.
For Zalmi, Mohammad Basit and Ali Raza picked up three wickets each, while Aamer Jamal took two wickets. Sufiyan Muqeem and Michael Bracewell claimed one wicket each.
Earlier, batting first after being invited by Quetta, Peshawar Zalmi posted a massive total of 255/3 in their allotted overs, thanks to an unbeaten century by captain Babar Azam.
Other notable contributions included Kusal Mendis (83), Farhan Yousuf (19), and Mohammad Haris (16), while Aamer Jamal remained not out on 26.
For Quetta Gladiators, Abrar Ahmed, Usman Tariq, and Alzarri Joseph took one wicket each.
