At 22, Shamal Khan Niazi has already spent several years working towards his career goals. Born in Mianwali and now based in Islamabad, he started his professional career in 2016. Since then, he has freelanced and taken on different business ventures.
His career has included both good and difficult periods. He has faced financial setbacks and difficult decisions while trying to establish himself at a young age. Shamal says these experiences have taught him to stay patient, think carefully before making decisions and keep working when things do not go as planned.
He started out in freelancing and later moved into other areas of business. Working independently gave him experience managing his own work and handling the responsibilities that come with it. Since then, he has explored different business ventures and learned from both successful and unsuccessful decisions.
Shamal is also active on TikTok under the username @shamalkhanniazi, where he shares content with his followers.
Travelling is another interest of his. In 2026, he visited Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. These trips took him to three countries he had not previously visited and added to his experiences outside Pakistan.
When speaking about young people and their goals, Shamal emphasises hard work and patience. He believes people should not be discouraged by starting small or by facing setbacks along the way.
“Don’t be afraid of starting small. Nothing happens overnight. Work hard, stay patient and keep learning from your mistakes,” he says.
He also encourages young people to stay focused when things don’t go according to plan. “There will be times when things don’t go the way you planned. That’s normal. What matters is that you don’t give up because of one setback,” Shamal says.
He believes that having a goal and putting in consistent effort can help people move closer to what they want to achieve. He says his own experience has taught him that progress takes time and that mistakes can also be part of learning.
Now based in Islamabad, Shamal continues to work on his business interests and future plans. At 22, he remains early in his career while continuing to gain experience through work and personal experiences.
His message to young people is straightforward: start somewhere, work hard, stay focused and give yourself time to reach your goals.
