After the launch of a famous feature of “Live video” among mobile users, Facebook has confirmed that it is launching the feature for desktop and laptop users as well.
In a comment to SocialTimes, Facebook confirmed that “We’re starting to roll out the ability for people to broadcast live on Facebook from their desktop or laptop.”
A source told SocialTimes that the launch was in response to high demand from journalists, vloggers and others that requested the feature. Currently, the source adds, the feature is only available to a “small percentage” of users, with more set to get it “in the coming months.”
Peripheral cameras are supported, in addition to built-in cameras on laptops, the source added.

A video also surfaced on Internet in which Facebook user Delilah Taylor shares about how a Live Video option appeared in her status update composer while accessing the social network via desktop.

Taylor in her video said:
When I first clicked live video, it didn’t do anything. You’ve got to put in a comment, and then you hit next, and when you hit next, it will bring up a secondary screen, which kind of looks like a Google Hangout screen, and you can adjust your camera and microphone … Then you hit “Go Live.”
