WASHINGTON (Web Desk) – A 24-year-old Indian allegedly killed his wife inside the kitchen of a Dunkin Donuts restaurant in the US state Maryland.
Palak Bhadreskumar Patel, 21, was found beaten to death inside the kitchen. Her husband Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel is the suspect, police said.
Police said they were both employed there.
Police are now asking for the public’s help to track down the husband, who is considered dangerous.
“We are treating this as domestic-related, not random. Again, they were husband and wife and lived together in the area here,” CBS-Baltimore quoted Justin Mulcahy, Anne Arundel County police as saying.
The call to police came around 11pm on Sunday when a customer noticed no employees at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Arundel Mills Boulevard.
“We have officers that work in this area. One of the officers came to the business and found the victim,” Mulcahy said.
The victim’s family was seen entering Dunkin’ Donuts.
A manhunt has been launched to trace the husband.
Metro Crime Stoppers have offered a $2,000 reward for any information leading to the suspect.
