PM Nawaz Sharif says govt policies yielding positive results in country

SHEIKHPURA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday visited the Bhikki Power Plant and said that efforts of the government were bringing positive results in country.

Speaking at a ceremony, he congratulated Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif over expeditious work on the project. He said that 84 percent work on the power plant had been completed, adding that the cost of the project was lower than the tariff.

Slamming his rivals, he said that hard working for nation never went unpaid as new projects were being inaugurated.

He said that work was being carrying out to connect Gwadar with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province via Quetta, adding that the Haveli Bahadur Shah project will be completed soon.

The Prime Minister said that the Karachi Circular Railway was also being included in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

He said that the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has been placed at first slot in Asia, and fifth in the world.
