PSL 2017, 9th Match: Gladiators vs Zalmi match abandoned due to rain

SHARJAH – The match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi was abandoned after frequent spells of rain lashed the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

Quetta Gladiators had won the toss and invited Peshawar Zalmi to bat first in the 9th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) here on Friday.

The house-full crowd could enjoy only 16 overs of Peshawar Zalmi’s innings in which Bangladeshi Tamim Iqbal made a half century. Zalmi scored 117 runs at the loss of three wickets in 16 overs.

Earlier, rain interrupted the clash at the start of the match. Both Zalmi and Gladiators have played three matches so far, won two and lost one.

The match started at 04:00 PM Pakistan time, which corresponds to 03:30 PM Indian time, 01:00 GMT and 03:00 PM according to UAE time.
