ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested Director General of National Database and Regulatory Authority (NADRA), Tahir Akram on corruption charges on Thursday.
The DG was detained after finding irregularities in obtaining a building on rent for the organistaion.
Akram had hired a building in Melody Market and paid rent in advance but Nadra office has not shifted to that building so far.
According to the FIA the NADRA head has caused a loss of Rs 30 million to the national kitty.
