BRIDGETOWN – Pakistan defeated Twenty20 World Champions West Indies by six wickets at Kensington Oval on Sunday in the first match of the Brighto Paints presents Q Mobile Cup Twenty20 International series.
Sent into bat first, the host managed only 111 for eight in allotted 20 overs. In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 17.1 overs with 115 for the loss of four wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the four-match series.
It was West Indies’ fourth successive defeat against Pakistan in the extra shorter form of the game after a 3-0 drubbing in the United Arab Emirates last September.
