MUMBAI – Celebrated Indian actor Vinod Khanna breathed his last at the age of 70 on Thursday after a protracted illness.
According to reports, Khanna has been suffering from cancer from a long period of time. He is survived by two sons and a daughter.
He was born on October 6, 1946 in Peshawar and enthralled viewers through his acting skills in over 140 films.
Khanna started his Bollywood career through his film ‘Man Ka Meet’ in 1968 but he shot to fame after his role in the film ‘Meray Apnay’.
He remained a pivotal part of Bollywood till 2013 and worked in some of the latest films like Dabangg, Players, Dabangg 2 and Dilwale, and received a lot of appreciation for his work.
