Multiple bombings stir panic in Peshawar

PESHAWAR – As many as three explosions took place in the provincial capital of Khyber Pukhtunkhawa early Friday stirring panic among the locals.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the blasts that took place outside the house of customs official Jahangir in Ghani Rehman Kalay area of Peshawar.

One of the three explosions was caused by a timing device while the other two occurred after hand grenades were hurled at the house, sources said.

According to the police, the house and a car parked nearby were damaged due to the explosions. Investigations have been launched into multiple bombings.

Bomb disposal officials confirmed collecting samples from the site for further inquiry.
