LAHORE – A man allegedly beheaded his spouse with a sharp chopper for not obeying his order of leaving her job, local media reported on Monday.
According to police, Nasreen, 37, who lived in an area of Shamke Bhattian, was found dead by her children and neighbours in the house.
The same was reported to the local police who reached the place to gather evidence and record eyewitness statements.
Dawn News quoted Saddar Division Superintendent of Police (SP) Maher Mumtaz as saying, “initial investigations revealed that the woman was killed by her husband Afraheem in the name of honour”.
The difference occurred between the couple when the accused asked his wife to leave her job in a factory in Raiwind area.
The deceased did not accept the demand and continued her job.
The suspect is still at large, while police teams have been formed to arrest him.
