Qaddafi stadium once again ready for much-awaited historic events

LAHORE (APP) – Qaddafi Stadium is the sole venue for the entire tour of Zimbabwe, which includes two T20s and three ODIs.

The capacity of the Qaddafi Stadium is over 60,000 spectators and it has hosted the 1996 World Cup final won by Sri Lanka.

Tickets prices for the series will range from PKR 150 to 1000 for the ODIs and between PKR 300 and 1500 for the T20s.

The decorative work at Qaddafi stadium including refurbishing of enclosures of spectators and dressing rooms of players has been completed.

Cultural performance has also been arranged for cricket fans during which several singers including Ali Zafar, Annie, Shahzad Roy and others would perform, the organisers said.

The Stadium, National Cricket Academy (NCA) and the place where Zimbabwe cricket team is staying have been exempted from electricity loadshedding during Pak-Zimbabwe cricket series.

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) sources said on Tuesday, that four teams of LESCO have been formed for providing uninterrupted electricity supply, besides removing technical problems.

LESCO officials will be present at Qaddafi Stadium control room and feeders.

Sources said that uninterrupted electricity would be ensured to above mentioned areas from May 19 to 31 and Pakistan Cricket Board generators would be used in case of any emergency.
