Working on their third epic now with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Goliyon ki Rasleela, Ram-Leela and Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Kapoor don in this epic historical fantasy ‘Padmavati’. Joining the cast is Shahid Kapoor. This is Kapoor’s first venture with Bhansali.
The story of the film is based on the dramatized romance of Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) and a Rajput queen Rani Padmini (Deepika Padukone). His desire for her takes the story to menacing depths of Bhansali’s creative genius.
