QUETTA (Web Desk) – In a dramatic turn of events, two suspects of MQM leader Imran Farooq’s murder case have been arrested from Pak-Afghan bordering city Chaman. The suspects were arrested by Frontier Corps (FC) and then handed over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
According to the initial inquiry, the suspects, Khalid Shamim and Mohsin Ali, belonged to a political party based in Karachi and they are involved in Imran Farooq murder case.
Ministry of Interior has also been informed of the arrests; both the arrested suspects were trying to cross the Afghanistan border via Chaman.
Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, two days ago, had expressed his commitment to bring the murderers of the MQM leader to book.
Farooq, 50, a founding member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) party, was stabbed and beaten to death in Edgware, northwest London, as he returned home from work in September 2010.
