Bioscopewala : An ingenious tale of Rabrinanath Tagore

MUMBAI: ‘Bioscopewala’ is an upcoming Bollywood movie inspired by the tale of the famous Bengali writer  Rabrinath Tagore.  The writer’s stories have always touched the hearts of the readers through his way of telling a story.

Bioscopewala is a retelling of ‘Kabuliwala’, Rabindranath Tagore’s short story of a trader from Afghanistan who regularly visits Calcutta to sell dry fruits and the bond he shares with eight-year-old Mini, continues to tug at heartstrings, having been adapted on screen and stage several times ever since it was published in 1892.

The theme of the movie is regarding a father-daughter relation. As the tagline says: Everyone has an incomplete story.

‘Bioscopewala stars renowned actor Danny Denzongpa, Geetanjali Thapa, charming actor Tisca Chopra and Adil Hussain. The movie is being presented by Fox Star Studios in association with Star India. Sunil Doshi has produced the movie and it is being directed by Deb Medhekar.

Tisca Chopra announced also posted the movie’s poster on her Instagram account. The movie will be released on 25 May 2018.
