PTI s Samar Ali Khan pulls out of upcoming elections

KARACHI – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and renowned architect, Samar Ali Khan announced on Tuesday that he will not contest the upcoming general elections.

Speaking during a session of the Sindh Assembly, the PTI leader said that his entry into political landscape cost him his time.

“A man gets wasted after joining the opposition benches in the Sindh Assembly,” he lamented.

Samar Ali Khan was elected as a member of the Sindh Assembly as a PTI candidate from PS-113 constituency in Karachi during the 2013 general elections. He had secured 38042 votes, trouncing Saleem Zia of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.

In his capacity as an architect, Khan is among a group tasked with the uplift project of Karachi Zoo. He is also the husband of renowned television actress Atiqa Odho.
