Eight dead, 7 injured in rain-related incidents in Karachi

KARACHI – At least eight people lost their lives after heavy rains with strong wind hit Karachi on Monday, Dunya News reported.

Two men, identified as Mansoor and Haris, who were riding on a bike, were electrocuted to death when electricity cables fell on the road in Garden area. In another incident, a woman and a man were electrocuted to death in different part of the city.

Due to heavy rain, roofs of two different houses collapsed in Discor Mor and other areas leaving 14-year-old Maryam and her 12-year-old brother Junaid, and two others dead and one injured.

Meanwhile, six people were injured in Sarjani Town after roof of a house collapsed.
