LAHORE – Punjab Police conducted a widespread operation in Lahore on Friday and arrested 18 suspects.

According to reports, police conducted search operation in different parts of provincial capital at the directives of CCPO Lahore Capt. (R) Muhammad Ameen Vance during which the law enforcers nabbed at least 18 suspects.

The search operations were carried out in Nawan Kot, Anarkali, South and North Cantt and Naulakha. During the search operation, those who failed to produce any identity document were detained.

Reportedly, at least 12 Afghan nationals were among the arrested individuals.

Security in the provincial capital was beefed up after reports regarding execution of subversive activities emerged. The law enforcement personnel thoroughly checked the vehicles leaving and entering the city.
