ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif said on Friday that federal and provincial governments were working in harmony for development of the country that should not be politicised.
The prime minister was addressing a meeting of National Economic Council in Islamabad. He added that Pakistan is now the fastest growing country as is being acknowledged by international financial rating institutions.
During the meeting, National Economic Council approved Annual Development Plan for next financial year.
He further said that the GDP growth rate of 5.28% for the current financial year was commendable.
The government is focusing on energy projects to provide uninterrupted supply to people at affordable price, besides balancing energy mix.
Nawaz Sharif concluded that the government has adopted a people-centric approach for development planning.
Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Governor KPK and Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan were present on the occasion.
