President Mamnoon leaves for Turkey on three-day visit

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) - President Mamnoon Hussain has left for Turkey on a three-day visit to attend the OIC Summit in Istanbul.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit will begin from Thursday and is expected to  adopt a final communiqué and Istanbul Declaration on Friday. The theme of the conference is Unity and Solidarity for Justice and Peace.

The agenda of the summit includes, among other issues, the Palestine issue, conflict situation in the Muslim world, combating terrorism and violent extremism, Islamophobia, humanitarian situation in the Muslim world, and the OIC-2025 Programme of Action.

During his stay in Turkey, apart from attending the OIC Summit, Mamnoon Hussain will also hold meetings with key Muslim leaders including President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud.
