Rajanpur: SHO among three martyred in crossfire with robbers

RAJANPUR - Goth Mazarin Station House Officer (SHO) was among three people who were martyred in firing by robbers in Kachcha Mandri area of Rajanpur. Six people were also injured in the incident.

As per media reports, Wednesday night, some dacoits forcibly occupied three houses in the area of Kachcha Mandri in order to extort ransom. "The residents of the area put up resistance while the robbers barged into the homes and held the children and women hostage at gunpoint", police sources said.

As a result, a heavy contingent of police was called to tackle the issue. Seeing the police, the robbers opened fire and during this shoot out, three persons including SHO were martyred and six were injured. Elite Force and Rangers also reached the area. During the encounter, the dacoits fled the scene.-Online
