Teenage girl attacks lover with acid after he refuses to marry her

BAHAWALPUR - A 17-year old woman hurled acid at her estranged lover on Friday after he reportedly refused to tie the knot with her. The shocking incident took place near Abadpur area of Bahawalpur.

After attacking her lover, the woman disclosed the reason behind her actions.

“He set the wedding date several times but would not see it through. Later, he told me that he did not want to marry me,” she told police.

The man was rushed to Sheikh Zayed Hospital where doctors said that 40 percent of his body had been burned.

An FIR has not yet been registered because no formal complaint has been made to the police in connection with the incident.
