Imran Khan demands judicial commissions under CJP to probe into Panama Leakes

ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has demanded a judicial commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) to investigate allegations leveled by Panama papers’ against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family.

While speaking in National Assembly on Thursday, Imran Khan said a commission headed by the CJP and assisted by a team of forensic experts should probe Panama Leakes.

“It is the duty of PM Nawaz to present himself for accountability and to restore his moral authority,” he said. “If there is no wrongdoing in PM’s offshore wealth, he doesn’t need to be worried.”

He said that the commission could start investigations from Imran Khan, Shaukat Khanum and Bani Gala.

Khan warned that opposition would be forced to take to streets if the high-powered commission was not formed.

“Tax evasion, money laundering and non-declaration of assets are serious crimes, which need thorough probe,” Khan said.
