LAHORE – In the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, Multan Sultans defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 6 wickets at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Chasing a massive target of 226 runs, Multan Sultans successfully reached the total in the 19th over, losing 4 wickets.
Sahibzada Farhan played a match-winning innings, scoring an unbeaten 106 runs, while Arafat Minhas remained not out on 26. Other contributors included Steve Smith (46), Shan Masood (29), Josh Philippe (9), and captain Ashton Turner (4).
For Kingsmen, Saim Ayub took 2 wickets, while Maheesh Theekshana and Hasan Khan picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Hyderabad Kingsmen posted 225/5 in their allotted overs.
Maaz Sadaqat was the top scorer with a blazing 62, while Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten on a quickfire 51. Other notable contributions came from Saim Ayub (27), Usman Khan (25), Syed Saad Ali (23), and captain Marnus Labuschagne (8). Irfan Khan also remained not out on 22.
For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Wasim Jr claimed 2 wickets, while Ashton Turner, Peter Siddle, and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.
