ISLAMABAD -Amid cutthroat battle to purchase tickets for the enthralling final of Pakistan Super League, cricket fans in Lahore have indulged in clashes at scattered places outside banks.
As soon as Bank of Punjab unleashed plan for selling tickets, cricket freaks jumped out of their beds in bid to buy tickets for the high-octane encounter but the mammoth crowd engaged in skirmishes across the city.
Cricket loving Lahori’s gathered outside banks at around 7:00 am but as the sun rose higher, it resulted in heating up of environment as fans swarmed to catch tickets for the final encounter scheduled to be held on March 5.
According to the details, PSL management has given directives to BoP to sell tickets to cricket fans. As many as 15 branches of BoP would continue selling tickets after verification of original CNIC.
It may be mentioned here that law enforcement personnel have also arrived at scores of banks in Lahore fearing any mismanagement due to the mammoth crowd gathered in long queues.
The Pakistan Super League second edition final in Lahore would be a jam-packed event as tickets for multiple enclosures have already been sold.
Tickets for enclosures named after Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Hanif and Zaheer Abbas have already been sold. Each ticket is priced at Rs 4000-12,000 but cricket freaks are not worrying as the single day event is worth it.
Tickets for Iman Khan, Javed Miandad, Majid Khan, Abdul Qadir, Saeed Anwar, Fazal Mehmood, Sarfaraz Nawaz, Raja, A.H Kardar enclosure are currently being sold but the enthusiasm displayed by cricket freaks hints that these tickets would probably be sold out completely by tonight.
