LAHORE – In the 10th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, Karachi Kings defeated Rawalpindiz by 5 wickets, registering their third consecutive win in the tournament.
At Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Rawalpindi batted first and posted 197/6 in their allotted overs, setting a target of 198 runs.
Daryl Mitchell impressed with 65 off 41 balls, while Sam Billings played a crucial knock of 58. Captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 21, while Kamran Ghulam (10) and Yasir Khan (8) were dismissed cheaply.
For Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali starred with the ball, taking 3 wickets, while Khushdil Shah claimed 2 and Mir Hamza picked up 1.
In reply, Karachi Kings chased down the 198-run target in the final over, losing 5 wickets. Azam Khan led the charge with 74 runs, while captain David Warner contributed 50.
For Rawalpindi, Daryl Mitchell took 3 wickets, while Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir grabbed one wicket each.
Earlier, Karachi Kings captain David Warner had won the toss and invited Mohammad Rizwan’s side to bat first.
It is worth noting that Karachi Kings had already won their first two matches, while Rawalpindi Royals had also suffered defeat in their opening game.
