ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – At the same time when being badly exposed for exporting terror across borders, the false champion of democracy, India, is keeping alive its legacy of disseminating misleading statements about neighbouring countries.
Ignoring its notoriety gained by gang rapes, ethnic discrimination and state-sponsored oppression, India never misses pointing out every wrongdoing across the borders – especially in Pakistan. Although active propaganda is a common practice between rival countries anywhere in the world, India goes too far while making news stories about Pakistan and its leaders.
As Pakistan is already fighting militancy within the borders in order to maintain peace in the region, Indian spy agency Research Analysis Wing (RAW) has been found involved in giving funds and training to the terrorists who are carrying out attacks in the country. Instead of keeping its ‘attack dog’ on a tight leash, India is openly maligning the prominent figures of Pakistan while distorting the facts.
In a quite flimsy and exaggerated news story published by the New Indian Express, the Indian media quoted Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman saying that the immodesty of women is the cause behind earthquakes, inflation and other kinds of disasters.
Without going into details about the exact place and timing of the press conference, the Indian newspaper claimed that the JUI-F leader also asked the Pakistani armed forces to launch a countrywide operation against women wearing jeans.
According to the Indian report, Fazl went on to say that a woman who is not covered like a ‘sack of flour’ is a mobile weapon of mass destruction and that Pakistan has multitude of such nuclear missiles in all its major cities.
“Rehman then blamed ‘immodest women’ for the Balochistan crisis, lack of energy supply and the deteriorating security situation in Pakistan,” the report added.
A similar story was also published by Daily Mail on Monday, but was removed after some time due to unknown reasons.
The foreign media also quoted Fazlur Rehman suggesting that if Pakistani women were wrapped in sacks and kept inside homes and if the Shariah law was in place, the Taliban brothers would not be carrying out terror attacks on Pakistani soil.
Unhappy over the recent landmark achievements of Pakistan in war against terrorism and revival of economy, India is covertly building ties with the terror groups based in Afghanistan and Pakistan in order to fan sectarian and every other kind of violence in the Islamic country, but doesn’t have the guts to act publicly.
In a failed attempt to jeopardise the ongoing crackdown on Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its splinter groups, the Indian newspaper wrote that Fazlur Rehman also talked about the demerits of the military operation against the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
“Justifying his angst, Fazlur Rehman said that Taliban were not Pakistan’s enemy and the forces needed to target the real enemies of Pakistan,” the newspaper said. However, contrary to its own account, the Indian paper added that Fazl also termed Taliban as Allah’s wrath due to indecency in Pakistan.
But surprisingly, Fazl was also quoted as saying the country’s economy would automatically improve through foreign investment “once Allah’s wrath is over”.
This story, which is purely based on fabrication and lies, comes as no surprise to Pakistan that already knows its enemy, but the world must take notice of such coverage slanted in favour of India’s own wishes.
