LAHORE – Heavy rain at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday has delayed the toss for the 11th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 between defending champions Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans.
Originally scheduled for 6:30 pm PST, the toss was postponed as a sudden downpour forced the ground staff to cover the pitch and square before taking shelter. With rain still falling and the outfield under covers, a new time for the toss will be confirmed once conditions improve.
The two teams have a close head-to-head record, having faced each other 21 times. Multan Sultans hold a slight advantage with 11 wins, while Lahore Qalandars have won 10 encounters. Their last clash at the same venue on 26 April 2025 saw Qalandars triumph.
Batting first, Multan posted 185-3 in 20 overs, led by captain Mohammad Rizwan, who scored 76 off 48 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes. Kamran Ghulam supported well with an unbeaten 52 from 31 deliveries, including two fours and four sixes.
Chasing the target, Lahore Qalandars reached 186 in the 19th over, losing five wickets. Daryl Mitchell starred with 64 off 38 balls, hitting four boundaries and four sixes, while Sikandar Raza added a rapid 40 from 21 balls, including two fours and four sixes.
