ISLAMABAD (APP) – The Pakistan Cricket Board is in talks with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to tour here after the successful tour of the Zimbabwean team.
Talking to APP, a PCB official said the PCB has invited teams of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for the tour of Pakistan. “After the successful tour of the Zimbabwean team to Pakistan we feel many teams are interested to play here,” he said.
He said Zimbabwe cricket officials were happy for their visit to Pakistan. “The message that they took from here that Pakistan is a safe country must have convinced other teams also to tour here,” he said.
He said this year the schedule of the Pakistan cricket team is very busy but hopefully we will be getting good news from these teams to tour Pakistan in the next year.
“It will be very affective if the Sri Lankan team tours Pakistan as previously they had been a victim of the attack in 2009,” he said.
