Olympian Tahir Zaman appointed as head coach of Pakistan Hockey Team

LAHORE –  The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed Olympian Tahir Zaman as the new head coach of the national hockey team. The announcement was made during a press conference at the National Hockey Stadium in Lahore, where PHF Secretary Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali Khan shared the news.

Rana Mujahid stated that Tahir Zaman is not only a legend in Pakistan hockey but also a qualified coach with extensive experience in modern coaching techniques. The PHF President, Mir Tariq Hussain Bugti, has approved his appointment.

Tahir Zaman will join the national team in China tomorrow. The PHF Secretary also emphasized their commitment to countering negative propaganda and vowed to utilize all resources and capabilities to elevate the status of hockey in the country.

In addition, Rana Mujahid mentioned that letters will be sent to all former Olympians, inviting them to collaborate and share their experiences to contribute to the development and promotion of hockey in Pakistan.
