Rs47.8m per month: Cost of judges, bureaucrats and ministers’ security in Pakistan revealed

ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Interior has presented the details of the monthly expenses for the security of judges, bureaucrats, and ministers in the National Assembly.

Overall, the monthly expenditure on the security of judges, bureaucrats, and ministers amounts to Rs47.8 million, with an annual cost of approximately Rs574.6 million.

The ministry said there are 34 vehicles assigned for judges’ security, 6 for bureaucrats, and 4 for ministers. In April 2024, Rs47.8 million were spent on these government officials.

It stated that 44 vehicles and 532 police officers are on 24-hour VIP security duty. For judges’ security, 34 vehicles, 409 officers, and guards have been assigned.

For bureaucrats’ security, there are 6 vehicles and 79 personnel, it said, adding that 44 police officials have been appointed for security of the ministers.
