India s ANI manipulates IOK-related video, attributes it to ARY

NEW DELHI – Indian media seems to be manipulating the truth to every possible level in a bid to take the propaganda to the next level, attributing fake videos to Pakistani news channels.

India’s leading news agency, Asian News International (ANI) displayed a video about a sports event held in Indian Occupied Kashmir and purported to show that Pakistan’s ARY covered positive developments concerning IoK.

The purpose of such forgery was to show the Indian government that ARY covered the positive happenings of Indian Occupied Kashmir region.

ANI had covered the 7th J&K state games of the deaf held in November last year, however, ARY has reportedly confirmed that the video attributed to it was fake.

India’s publication ‘The Caravan’ has exposed the agenda behind ANI’s manipulation which is merely to portray the Narendra Modi regime in a favourable light and to get close to the power corridor.

Indian journalist Praveen Donthi has also exposed the motives of ANI claiming that an interview of Narendra Modi before 2014 elections was purely biased when gauged in terms of journalistic standards.

Donthi claims in a piece that ANI’s journalist Smita Prakash conducted an interview of Narendra Modi during the election campaign which went pleasant as the BJP leader did not have to face tough questions from the journalist who speculated in a piece that that, “If he became prime minister, this man is going to turn 7 Race Course Road (the PM’s official residence) into a monastery at this rate!”

Although Indian media has been whipping up war hysteria after the Pulwama attack and is deeply engaged in propaganda, ANI’s skewed coverage of events somewhat implies that there is a close liaison between BJP or the ‘Saffron party’ and media for which .
