GUJRANWALA – A woman was raped allegedly by her ex-husband in a village of Gujrat after she demanded that he pay back a loan.
The victim filed a complaint with police stating her former spouse Shahid Iftikhar not only raped her but also filmed the whole incident in order to blackmail her in Mozu Jamu Bola, local media reported.
She said that Iftikhar divorced her due to a domestic dispute and later she married another person.
“When my second husband died, the accused approached me to patch up,” the victims claimed, adding that she had given Rs1.7 million to her ex-husband as a loan for starting a business.
The complainant said when she asked him to pay off the loan, he asked her to come at a fish farm. “When I go there, he raped med and recorded the incident on tape to blackmail her,” she alleged.
Police have registered a case against the accused and launched investigation into the matter.
