ISLAMABAD (Staff Report) – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced that his party will boycott parliament’s joint session on Kashmir which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
While talking to the media here on Tuesday, Imran Khan said that Nawaz had lost the moral authority to continue as the prime minister and PTI would no longer endorse this parliament.
“We have debated about the matter in our party and decided to boycott the session tomorrow because we think Nawaz Sharif has lost legitimacy to remain a prime minister because of Panama leaks,” the PTI chief said.
The PTI chief also offered two options to PM Nawaz to resolve the stand-off between the opposition and government. “The first option for Nawaz is that he should resign as a prime minister and any other leader of his party can replace him. The second option for him is that he should present himself for the accountability.”
“We fully back Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and sent Shah Mehmood Qureshi to yesterday’s meeting of the parliamentary parties’ heads,” said Khan.
He also demanded PM Sharif to step down and present himself for accountability.
