Islamabad to have first CHAIRLIFT soon

ISLAMABAD (Online) – The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to install a chairlift in Islamabad for tourists.

The project, initiated by Environment department in partnership with private sector, will be completed on the basis of BOT. Applications will be invited from national and international firms which are interested in this project.

The chair lift will run from the rear of playland and its first station will be Daman-e-Koh. It will stop at Pir Maklala ahead of Pir Sohawa and it will return from this place.

This place is 1150 feet high, making it the highest site in Islamabad.

The distance of one side of chairlift passage is 2.75 kilometre and total distance will stand at 5.5 kilometre.

Company will carve out design on its own and will install chairlift with its own capital.

The project will be handed over to CDA after stipulated period.
