LAHORE – The British High Commissioner, Thomas Drew CMG, met the Pakistan National Women’s Cricket Team during their tour in the UK. His wife, Mrs Joanna Roper, accompanied him to watch the girls in green take on their English counterparts in Bristol on Sunday, said a press release issued by British High Commission in Islamabad.
Although Mr Drew recently hosted the Pakistan’s Men’s Cricket Team in Lahore, he was unable to do the same for the Women’s Cricket Team as they had already left for their tour of England.
Highlighting sport as one of the strongest links between the UK and Pakistan, he wished the team the best of luck for the remainder of their tour.
